After receiving a scholarship from a prestigious university, a Chinese girl named Wei moves to New Zealand and stays with her aunt, whose daughter studies in the same faculty. This catches the interest of a university professor who urgently needs a project to extend his funding—thus, Wei gains access to the laboratory.
